Denise Butler - Peacock Risk Managment

Denise Butler

Director

Denise has worked in-house with legal practices in practice management, working alongside Managers to meet the many challenges facing the legal profession.

Denise is a Lexcel consultant and practice management specialist.

She has assisted law firms to be compliant with regulation, improve efficiencies and profitability, save on costs, manage the team, including change management, and effectively work through and manage projects.

Brian Greevy

Business Development & Client Relations

Brian Greevy has been working within the legal sector for more than 14 years, and his experience in establishing what is needed and how best to achieve the desired result proves invaluable.

Brian assists firms to convert the legal structure of their practice to a limited company or LLP, and to apply for authorisation from the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

He also assists practices who wish to change their regulatory status to an Alternative Business Structure (ABS) and navigates the project, ensuring the changes progress within agreed timescales, with ease and minimum interaction for the owners.  

New practice start-ups are very familiar for Brian where project time constraints and business goals are professionally realised with his support. 

Brian frequently liaises with and negotiates with the professional indemnity insurance market to enable forward planning and to manage risk.

Brian has an excellent understanding of the commercial aspects of the legal profession, and he can prove an invaluable support to practices who wish to find a partner (merge), or who wish to release themselves from the legal profession and exit in an orderly manner.

Brian will also be able to assist you in acquiring new contacts and potential business streams.

Gemma Shanks LL.B (Hons)

Associate Consultant

Gemma Shanks is a Lexcel consultant & assessor and a non-practising solicitor.

Gemma works with law firms helping them to implement effective processes and procedures and to achieve the Law Society’s Lexcel standard. Gemma supports firms through complex structure change projects, helping them to navigate through the process quickly and efficiently.

Lynne Williams

Compliance Consultant

Lynne has worked in the legal profession for more than 20 years and has a wealth of experience as a solicitor working in crime and litigation.

Lynne brings that experience to her role as a Trainee Compliance Consultant helping law firms to navigate through regulation and deliver a bespoke regulatory consultancy service to law firms.

Lynne assists firms in developing the right policies and procedures, rolling them out in the firm and coaching the team to ensure compliance is working as it should be.

Her extensive people skills also mean that Lynne can work effectively with teams to get things done in a professional and positive way.
